Ahmedabad: The debut film of Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain will begin its Ahmedabad leg of shooting in the old-city area from Monday, 19th March. Produced by Salman Khan Films, the movie set in Gujarat around the nine-day traditional dance festival Navaratri will hit the big screens later this year.
Chandresh Bhatt from the Bollywood superstar’s production house had approached the Ahmedabad city Police commissioner to grant them with the permission to shoot at different locales of the heritage city. The shoot that begins today will be shot in the Khadia locality which has heritage pols and buildings like Aka Sheth Kuva ni Pol, Diwanji ni Haveli, etc. The film will also be short at places like Tankshal ni pol, Lakshmi Narayan ni Pol, Diwan Bungalows in Raykhad and Ahmedabad International Airport. A crew of 150 people including the actors and production staff would be stationed in the city for more than week for the shoot.
It is yet not clear if the debutant lead actors are going to be a part of this crew. The movie has already finished its Vadodara leg of the shoot which had begun on March 4. In the permission granted for the shoot, that will mostly take place in the hours after sun down for the whole night, the police have urged the makers to ensure no damage is done to heritage properties at the locations they'd be shooting. They have also asked the crew to make sure that the traffic and and the residents don't get disturbed or inconvenienced by their schedules and no such activity must take place that might offend any community or religion. They have also been prohibited from using drone cameras for the shoot.
