Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt's 'Rudraksh' costar Suniel Shetty believes that Ranbir Kapoor is the best fit to play Sanjay Dutt in his biopic. Actor Suniel Shetty was present at the semifinal of the Wheelchair Cricket series between India and Bangladesh on Tuesday.
With Sanjay Dutt's biopic in making, Suniel was asked if one could expect a biopic on his life, the actor said, "I don't think its worthy, but Sanjay's biopic is happening and I think nobody else would do a better job at playing Sanjay than Ranbir. I saw Ranbir's pictures and he looks exactly like Sanjay."
While talking about the tournament and the great initiative, Suniel Shetty said, "I think cricket on a wheelchair is an amazing concept, I would like to congratulate the organizers and NGO's those have made it happen. We should take more initiatives like these. By God's grace we have everything and still, if we look at their spirit and energy we will be able to learn a lot. So when I was told such a tournament was going to take place between two countries (Bangladesh and India) I thought it is important that I become a part of this. I always think God has given us so many privileges so it is important that we can do as much as possible for the underprivileged people."
Specially-abled people do not have as many privileges and there is no support system to help them, when asked to comment on the same Suniel said, "I think people are trying their best and giving recognition to causes for specially-abled people. If media keeps giving attention to such causes more supporters will show up. I run an NGO myself, it’s called "Save the Children India'. They work really hard for specially abled kids. They also organize sports tournaments for them and we get around 18 to 19 teams only from Maharashtra. Just looking at them and their spirits make you feel like you have to do more and more for them."
Suniel Shetty was last seen in a negative role in the 2017 release 'A Gentleman' directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The actor co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez. His upcoming project is titled as 'A. B. C' is directed by Ramkumar Shedge and produced by Meehir Kulkarni. The film co-stars Shetty with Tamannaah, Sunny Pawar, Vijay Patkar, and Ravi Kishan.
