Ahmedabad: Actor Priyanka Chopra lent her to support to the Time’s Up movement against sexual harassment by posting on social media a photograph of her in a black dress and writing “Today we wear black. Wherever you are, whoever you are, whatever you're doing...join us #TimesUp #WhyWeWearBlack.”

Chopra’s post coincided with the 75th Golden Globe Awards ceremony, where members of the film and television industry wore black to make a statement against pervasive sexual harassment.

The Time’s Up campaign, announced by The New York Times on 1 January, is a coalition of 300 Hollywood actors, directors, producers, writers, agents and other executives who have set up a $13 million fund, administered by the Washington-headquartered National Women’s Law Center, to provide support to men and women who have experienced sexual harassment at the workplace.
