New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Non-Resident Indians living abroad are making India proud with their work in different countries around the globe.

Addressing the international convention of Saurashtra Patel Cultural Samaj of the United States through video conferencing today, PM Modi said, people who went from India to abroad spread the Indian values and culture worldwide. He added that the strength and respect of the Indian passport have increased.

Speaking on the need for clean energy, the Prime Minister said, India is leading in Clean and Green Energy Worldwide. He said India was instrumental in establishing the International Solar Alliance.

Speaking about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, PM Modi said, Patel, dedicated his life for the unity and integrity of the nation. He mentioned that the work of making Sardar Patel's 'Statue of Unity' will be completed by 31st October and it will be the biggest statue of the world.

PM Modi said the people of Saurashtra Patel Cultural Samaj are known as 'hotel-motel Patel-walas' and asked whether they can influence 5 people to visit India.

He urged them that whenever any guests visit their hotel or motel, they can put a five-minute video clip on India on the television so that the guests can get to know what India is. PM Modi also urged the Patel community living in the US to promote Indian tourism there.
