Meranews, Gandhinagar: Blowing it’s election trumpet for the Gujarat state assembly, the Aam Admi Party (AAP), started its campaigning by holding a massive Road Show in Ahmedabad on Monday. The rally saw more than five thousand AAP workers with more than 1,000 four wheelers, around 700 motorbikes, 200 auto-rickshaws and ten campaigning vehicles. According to the AAP, the road show was a tremendous success which has boosted the morale of the party.
Launching their campaign for the state assembly elections, ‘BJP Hatao, Parivartan Lavo’, meaning 'Remove BJP, Bring Reformation,' the AAP held a massive rally where, according to AAP, thousand of workers participated.
The rally or the road show was flagged off by the AAP Gujarat in-charge and the Delhi government cabinet minister, Gopal Rai. He said, “The ego of BJP has risen above even Mount Everest. Today you cannot carry out a single government work without greasing palms in Gujarat. If people raise their voice against corruption, school fees, healthcare, injustice to the farmers, the BJP government strikes on them by using the police force."
He added, "During the five year’s rule, the BJP has fired their bullets on the public which will be answered by the public through 'ballot' two months from now.”
Rai also affirmed “Like we did in Delhi, here too the AAP government, if formed, would like to build schools, hospitals, compensation to the farmers, one
crore compensation to martyrs.”
The road show took off from the Nana Chiloda circle and went ahead till Gandhi Ashram at Sabarmati, through Naroda Patiya, Soni’s Chawl, Nagarvel Hanuman, Sarangpur cross roads and he Riverfront.
The AAP will be holding a press conference on Tuesday regarding further election plans of the party.
