Ahmedabad: Arshad Ishaq Vohra, a 19-year-old Indian-origin youth, was shot dead at his family-run fuel station in Dolton, Illinois, early on Thursday. While Vohra died on the spot, Bakar Saeed (55), an employee of the family’s, has been hospitalized.

Vohra was a student of the South Suburban College in Dolton. His family, who migrated to the US nine years ago, was visiting Anand for the wedding of a relative at the time of the shootout.

While it is unclear if the murder occurred as part of a robbery, or if some other motive was involved, community activists have announced a reward of $12,000 for any information on the identity of the shooter.
