Ahmedabad: Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS)convener and community leader Hardik Patel, who has been lying low for the last few months, is planning to be back in action, this time with a tour across different districts of Gujarat. Named Gujarat Jan Jagruti Yatra (Gujarat Public Awareness Tour), this tour will feature discussions and talks on three major topics, i.e. Patidars, Farmers and Youth.
After giving the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) a scare in legislative assembly elections last year as with his political rallies across the state almost brought its major opposition Congress to the brink of victory, Hardik was out of action for most of the early months of 2018. But now with this new tour of Gujarat in the pipeline, the young Patidar leader seems to be taking a change in approach; He said that he wishes to bring change in Gujarat with love and not with hatred. He doesn't wish fight to bring change in power but change in administration and implementation in the state.
Patel would be visiting almost every major district in the state and will hold talks and discussions to urge the state government for reservation to be provided to the Patidar community, the loans of farmers be waived off and their income doubled, and to provide employment to educated youth in the state.
