Ahmedabad: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) found a confidential report by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) during a raid at the residence of former Union finance minister P. Chidambaram in New Delhi’s Jor Bagh area on 13 January, the ANI news agency reported on Thursday.

The CBI had submitted a copy of the document on the Aircel-Maxis scam in a sealed cover to the Supreme Court, ANI quoted unnamed ED personnel as saying. The report that was found at Chidambaram’s residence was an unsigned copy, which meant it was leaked from the CBI offices, these people said.

The ED and the CBI are both investigating the role of Karti Chidambaram, the son of the senior Congress party leader, in the Aircel-Maxis scam.
